How estimators differ: most "instant" estimators ask for an email or phone number first, then pass it to dealers. Kelley Blue Book's own Instant Cash Offer terms say offers are redeemable at participating dealers and may be adjusted after inspection (KBB terms). We show the ranges up front instead.

Questions

How does this car value estimator work?

Pick make, model and year. You get Kelley Blue Book trade-in, private-party and dealer retail ranges (Good condition, fetched 2026-10-23) plus the typical dealer asking price from cited listings where we hold at least 5.

How accurate is it?

We show ranges, not a single made-up number, and every figure links to its source. Mileage, condition, options and location move a specific car within or outside these ranges.

Why do some years say "not available"?

We never estimate without data. If we hold fewer than 5 cited listings for a year, we do not show an asking-price median.

Is it free?

Yes. No email, no phone number, no sign-up.
